Current DRS/UDRS (Umpire Decision Review System ) is much flexible here umpire can take the LBW decisions as per the field Situations as well players are also having chance to Correct the same, means 90 ("Faulty Catch, Run, Stump" out, 2 LBW situations): 10 (Field Umpires LBW decisions when ball pitches in line Marginally/firmly hit leg /off stump or pitches out side off /leg and hit the stumps) chances are available for the technology and human. Now some crucial updates are required to make UDRS as life breathing system for cricket's all types of format.
(2) Under DRS/UDRS LBW decisions if Ball pitches in line & hit the middle or between Middle off / Leg Stump then 3rd Umpire has to sustain the right to give out. (Here angle of the ball technologically can't beat the actuality)
(3) Under DRS/UDRS LBW if batsman feels ball was not hitting the stumps against field umpire's decision and 3rd umpire find the same then who has to sustain the right to give not out.
(4) Under DRS/UDRS LBW decisions if ball hit the pad 1ST then hit the bat & still hitting the middle or Between Middle off /Leg stump then Out/Not out decisions have to be finalized by the field Umpire after the Confirmations of 3RD Umpire (Here the importance of technology is Negligible & field circumstances are vital)
(5) Under DRS/UDRS LBW decisions if Ball pitches in line and hit the off / Leg stump by firmly or Marginally then Out/Not out decisions have to finalized by the field umpire after the Confirmations of 3RD Umpire (Here angle of the ball technologically can beat the actuality)
(6) Under DRS/UDRS LBW decisions batsman comes out of the crease or short ball pitches in line and Hit the middle or into Middle off/Leg stump then Out/Not out decisions have to be finalized by The field umpire after the Confirmations of 3RD Umpire (Here the importance of technology is Negligible & field circumstances are vital)
(7) Under DRS/UDRS if review is applied on NOBALL then an another appraisal has to be grant
Just see if technology is fully valid on LBW decision and any team is playing in huge Swinging, Spinning, bumpy track where use of pad is much vital as compare to bat then chances of getting out from Out side off / leg is Enormous Shen warne, Anil Kumble, Glen Mcgrath, Del stain, Bret Lee etc. or any quality Bowler can use the conditions tremendously.
In shorts DRS/UDRS Almost remove the errors regarding any faulty "run, catch, stump" out as its applied on LBW next above mentioned points are crucial due to cricket's unconditionality that's why it cant be
completely handled by technology in LBW case but partially can be used by 3rd umpire in LBW Decision, 2 benefits surely one can get out of it.
completely handled by technology in LBW case but partially can be used by 3rd umpire in LBW Decision, 2 benefits surely one can get out of it.
(A) Under DRS/UDRS LBW if batsman feels ball was not hitting the stumps then he can go against fieldUmpire's decisionand 3rd umpire find the same then who has to sustain the right to give not out.
(B) Under DRS/UDRS LBW When bowler feels who has taken a sure wicket and field umpire didn't give Under DRS/UDRS LBW When bowler feels who has taken a sure wicket and field umpire didn't give Him
Out Then 3rd umpire sees that ball was pitches in line, hitting middle or middle off/leg (Expect pad and Bat situation) and find the same then who has to sustain the right to Give not out.
If all above mention points applied in the field seriously then this can be used in all the format as well a clear code of conduct can be made for the Umpires for their decisions which will be decided the rating and clarity of their work also for players in the field will be doing any thing useless then they need to be answerable. Finally under DRS/UDRS LBW decisions when ball goes in line hit the middle or between middle off/Leg, as well batsman feels that he was not out and ball was not hitting the stump then 3RD umpire has to finalize the decision all other judgments ("Run, Catch, Stump" out & other LBW conditions) have to be settled by field umpires and they by their rating. I think it's a perfect model for UDRS without any doubt.
