Hindustan Times: Beijing: A leading Chinese geologist who reportedly misused research funds for his three mistresses was arrested by police following a tip off from his wife, who furnished a heap of evidence accusing him of corruption and immorality. His activities came to light following a complaint from his wife Cao Xia who accused him of embezzling funds to the tune of 10 million yuan ($1.52 million). Cao said she began to notice her husband's infidelities in April and found that Duan had two mistresses and he had given them each a house in Beijing. He had an illegitimate child with one of the mistresses. Cao, a lawyer had posted information about her husband on a popular online forum, tianya.cn, since June 29, including explicit accounts that claimed to have uncovered wrongdoings by Duan, director of the CAS' Key Laboratory of the Earth's Deep Interior.
