Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton to reply to 60,000 well-wishers' letters

By: Victoria Murphy, PRINCE William and bride Kate have received 60,000 cards and letters from the public wishing them well in married life. And royal aides have been ploughing through the mountain of mail for almost a year to make sure everyone who wrote gets an answer. William and Kate's mailbag, sent from all over the world, dwarfs the 10,000 telegrams sent to the Queen and Philip got when they wed in 1947. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are "overwhelmed" by the flood of goodwill, and a St James's Palace team are working non-stop on their behalf to reply to all the well-wishers. A royal source said: "There has been a vast, vast amount. "It was just lovely, given that they were all supportive messages, whether it be cards or little letters. "There's a team working on it and everyone who wrote in got a response. Read Full: Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton to reply to 60,000 well-wishers' letters
