By Boris Babic: Belgrade (dpa) – Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has donated 100,000 dollars to UNICEF’s Serbian chapter, the United Nations agency for children has said. “I hope my donation and support will help make a difference in the lives of young children throughout Serbia, especially those who have fewer opportunities to reach their full potential,” said Djokovic, a UNICEF national ambassador for Serbia since August, according to a statement released late on Wednesday. Djokovic says he wants to help the most vulnerable groups of children – those with disabilities and from the Roma minority – in Serbia, one of the poorer European nations and home to tens of thousands of refugees from the conflicts that destroyed the former Yugoslavia.
