The Russian space agency Roscosmos proposed to prolong future expeditions to the ISS from 6 months up to a year or even more, thus starting first space experiments that will eventually lead to future flights to the Moon and other planets.While the the ISS is the only place to simulate the most essential parts of interplanetary flight, that are microgravity and space radiation (the latter however on the low-earth orbit is well below that in the outer space), the plan nevertheless seems too exotic.
