Japanese Emperor Akihito has undergone a successful heart bypass operation at a Tokyo hospital, the Imperial Household Agency reported on Saturday, adding that the Emperor is currently in stable condition. The 78-year-old was advised to undergo the operation after meticulous tests conducted earlier this month.
