By Liudmila Chernova, “The world is witnessing a sharp turn in its history now when the current geopolitical landscape is being radically changed by recent developments such as the current situation in Syria”, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in his address to the State Duma. Lavrov believes it will lead to the formation of a new, polycentric, system of international relations. The Minister added that Russia’s foreign policy will remain balanced and open for a dialogue based on the partnership of those who are prepared to cooperate on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
