Special knowledge in the field of physics is needed to diagnose problems and treat patients with the help of sophisticated equipment.Ultrasound, X-ray photography and tomography are common knowledge today. It is easy enough to carry out these examinations, so doctors’ medical qualifications are sufficient. However, there are methods for which medical education is not enough. They include sophisticated ray diagnostics, laser surgery and non-invasive treatment. These are far advanced technologies and now engineers are required to assist doctors on a permanent basis, Vice-Chancellor Boris Padalkin of Bauman Technical University says.
