Now experts believe the iPhone 5 could dwarf them all, with 'unprecedented demand' expected for the handset. Today Apple was preparing to open online pre-orders for the hugely anticipated gadget, which goes on sale on Friday 21st September.

Experts are expecting huge queues for the gadget at Apple stores around the world as fans compete to become among the first to own the new gadget. 'I think we'll see unprecedented demand,' said Stuart Miles of web site Pocket Lint. 'People have holding off upgrading, and now they'll buy.
