Latin Quarters: Emerging as a trendy women’s fashion brand

Fashion United, Latin Quarters (LQ), the women’s fashion  brand  launched
by fashion enthusiasts Rahul Bhalla (CEO) and Saurabh Jhingan (Director), in 2006 is now looking at major expansion within India and abroad. Owned by Ikon Retail, a sister concern of Delhi-based Mayur Overseas, a conglomerate having interests in exports, textiles, construction and travel, LQ is backed by professionals in management, designing, manufacturing, retailing, logistics and marketing, who constantly
offer the best to its patrons. Explaining how the journey of LQ began, Bhalla says, “The first LQ store opened in 2006 in New Delhi, since then, the brand presence has expanded nationwide. It is known for its sophisticated yet fun, clothing and accessories.” Though the brand was launched in 2006, the seeds were planted long ago in Hofstra University, NY where both Bhalla and Jhingan were students. They had a vision of a brand which would bring cutting edge fashion to the Indian consumer in an environment which would match international standards. “Our philosophy is simple. We want our customers to feel the pleasure of buying fashion through our exquisite range and unique store design matching international standards and panache. Our stores have been designed to create a special atmosphere by transforming space in brand environments through architecture, fixtures, lighting and signage to provide a complete feel good shopping experience,” Bhalla adds. LQ is aimed at middle to upper middle class women between 21 to 45 years who have the disposable income to spend, are fashion conscious and want to look good. The brand is available at over 55 points of sale across 18 cities in the country. Bhalla elaborates, “We are looking at major expansion in Tier II, III cities. We are also exploring international markets like South East Asia, Middle East and North Africa. There has been a lot of interest from local partners there. We are also going live in April with our e-commerce platform.” Source: Fashion United
