Famous American singer and actress Whitney Houston has been posthumously given the Global Icon Award of the MTV channel, the organisers of the competition report.
The prize-awarding ceremony will take place in Frankfurt-on-Mein late at night on Sunday. Viewers from 160 countries will be able to witness the ceremony.
