Israeli researchers have developed a vaccine to fight cancer. The vaccine helps man’s immune system to recognize and devour cancer cells. 10 volunteers with multiple myeloma had the new vaccine injected in the course of clinical trials. Three have been cured of the disease, while the rest have had their immune status boosted. According to the researchers, the vaccine trains the organism to react to a special kind of protein that is present in great numbers on the cancer cell surface. 90% of malignant tumours have this kind of marker. The researchers believe that the development of the “teacher”, as it were, is quite a breakthrough, since the human organism has been unable to detect cancer cells thus far. Source: Voice of Russia.
