‘Icons’, new premium collection in fresh produce demands feedback

Fresh Plaza: The fresh products shelves this spring are enriched with a unique collection of fruit & vegetables. Under the name ‘Icons’ the Best Fresh Group introduces, as the first of her 5 new brands, the best of the season in a totally renewed packaging. The assortment of the most beautiful and, more importantly, tastiest fruit & vegetables is not only recognisable by its striking design – innovative is that everybody can indicate his or her appreciation by means of a QR-code. Packaging: “We challenged ourselves and wanted to go beyond a new name and colour setting. We are proud of our premium assortment and therefore dare to ask feedback from our client” thus Mart Valstar, director of the Best Fresh Group. On the fresh product shelves, where the colour black is used more frequently in order to emphasize quality, Icons consciously applies a light colour. This makes the products stand-out beautifully. Each product comes with a unique number, colour and related name. Raspberries have number 19 and are called ‘Real raspberry red’, the red peppers with number 99 are called ‘Hot flaming red’. This is how we demonstrate that Icons is a collection in which each product comes with its own story.
Your Votes Please: As consumer in the meantime we are used to share our appreciation concerning a product or service via the Social Media. But in the premium fresh sector so far this is unknown. Therefore we placed a unique QR-code on each packaging which allows the consumers to give their appreciation about the product and subsequently to find more information about the product. The opinion of the consumer is valuable and taken seriously by us. A unique phenomenon in the fresh sector!
Products:  The first collection consists of the Tomberry, the baby-sweet point pepper, the pepper mix and a
blend of cherry tomatoes. Other products in the premium-segment of the Best Fresh Group are creamy sweet mangos and of course the total soft fruit package: strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, blackberries and currants. In order to be eligible for the Icons qualification a product must offer the best of the season, not only in taste, but also in colour and shape. The new brands Icons, will be presented at the Fruit Logistica fair from 8 – 10 February.
