NASA has given up its plans to use the space-shuttle system in the future and decided to replace it by a new one. Private spaceships and rockets were regarded as an alternative. Four firms in the USA that received subsidies from NASA and another 3 that were not subsidized by NASA have started working on the new systems. It was planned that by the year 2016 astronauts would be able to use a private “space taxi”. Let’s take for example, the Dragon spacecraft of the SpaceX Company that has made visible progress in this field, outstripping its rivals, and that included the possibility of producing a cargo, a piloted and a mixed modification of its new model.
