Security forces in the Awaran district of Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province killed seven militants after a shootout, reports Xinhua citing local media on Tuesday.
The forces launched a search operation at a compound in the district by acting on an intelligence tip-off regarding the presence of the militants in the area who engaged them in a gun-battle after being cornered, the reports said.
During the exchange of firing, seven militants of a banned outfit were killed, but their identities were not revealed by the security forces, it reported.
The security forces seized the bodies and shifted them to a government hospital for autopsy.Earlier on Sunday, the media wing of the Pakistani army Inter-Services Public Relations said a soldier was killed during a clash with militants in the Awaran area. https://www.daily-bangladesh.com/
